Privacy Policy

Agpeya.org exists so that the Coptic Orthodox Book of Hours can be prayed freely. You do not need an account, and nothing you pray is recorded. We do not sell or share personal information, we show no advertising, and we do not track you across other websites or apps.

Your reading preferences — theme, language, font size, line spacing, and whether footnotes are shown — are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not personal information, they are not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

On the website you may sign in with Google so that your reading preferences follow you between devices. Signing in is entirely optional; every prayer on this site is fully available without it. The iOS app does not offer sign-in at all.

If you do sign in, Google Firebase provides us with your name, email address, and profile picture, and we store those along with your preference settings so they can be restored on your next visit. We use this only to sync your settings. We never post anything, and we do not send you email.

We use Google Analytics to understand which hours are prayed most and where the site is slow or confusing. It records anonymous, aggregated usage — pages viewed, approximate region, device type — and it is not tied to your identity. We do not use it for advertising or to build a profile of you.

If you write to us through the contact form, the name, email address, and message you enter are delivered to us by email through the FormSubmit service. We use them only to read and reply to your message.

Agpeya.org is a book of prayers, suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and no account is needed to use any part of it.

You may sign out at any time from the settings menu. To have your account and stored preferences deleted entirely, write to us at colta.consult@gmail.com and we will remove them.

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
